* exisibision held on 6 & 20 Nov. 2005 at Tokyo JAPAN.




*Animation 80 are looking for artists to submit short animation films
that is to be held on each year at Tokyo JAPAN.


*Submitted works will be gathered and edited as one long film for the show.
It will be screened four times.
Audiences will vote for the best three films
and those best three will be awarded after the final screening.
We are looking forward to seeing your original and unique animation!

Entry requirements

1Entries must be some form of moving pictures
incorporating animation technique.
Line art, 3D, clay, puppet, photograph, CG etc...
any form of art is accepted as long as it is animated.
Entries must be 1 minute or shorter.


1 minute Animation Festival have two 2CATEGORYs.

CIRCLE ANIMATION
All entries must begin and end with a black circle 288mm in diameter like the one below, so that when all the entries are edited together, they will be seamlessly connected by the circles to form one long animation “train”
. Please insert at least 1second of the circle footage at the beginning and end. (Entries should be under 1 minute minus the 2 seconds of circle image)

FREE CATEGORY
Any independently produced animation that is under 1 minute will qualify for this category. There are no limits on the number of entries per person, or on the year of production.
It can even be a longer piece that is edited down to 1minute.
Anything goes, as long as it stays under the 1 minute mark.
We will be waiting for your entries!



3Sound and visual used for entries should be original or
copyright-clean since the films will be shown in public.
Entrants must make all the copyright matter clear before the entry.
Animation 80 are not liable for the matter.


4Animation 80's selection committee will select films for screening.


5Awards and prizes・・・The 1st to The 3rd:Equivalent of 10000 yen (about 80 US dollars)
Screened film will be copied on videotapes and given to all entrants.


6The video tape will be sold on the net after the show.
Please state if entrants does not want the films to be used for this purpose. (This will not affect the film selection for the show at all if in the case.) The idea behind this is not to seek profit but foster the culture of animation. However, even if the profit is made, this will not be returned to artists.
